If you’re one of the many folks who value the Wall Street Journal’s brand of journalism to be accurate and reliable well you’ll be glad to know that the WSJ has sort of confirmed that there is indeed going to be an iPad Mini. In fact, the report is saying that production of the iPad Mini has already started.
According to WSJ, Asian suppliers have started mass production of Apple’s new tablet. Said tablet will be smaller than the current iPad since Apple want to stay on top of the game and possibly knock off competitors in the smaller tablet space such as Google and Amazon.
The report further says that the said iPad Mini will be sporting a 7.85-inch liquid-crystal display with lower resolution than the 3rd gen iPad. The screen of the current iPad measures 9.7-inches.
LG Display and AU Optronics were identified as the suppliers of the LCD screens of the iPad Mini.
