Well, after reporting to you that Apple will be launching the iPad 3 during a special event in March, we now have new reports saying that specific date for the launch – and that’s going to be on the seventh of the said month. The report claims to be from a reliable source and fits the rumored March announcement reported by AllThingsD.

Just as we reported, the iPad 3 will be featuring the 2048×1536 resolution which is that of the Retina Display. Aside from that it will also be loaded with a quad-core Apple A6 processor. And here’s the latest, the said iPad 3 will also be a 4G LTE-capable device. As such, it is also being rumored to be released on both AT&T and Verizon. Both carriers have their own 4G LTE network offerings.

What makes these rumors more exciting is the fact that March 7 is just a few weeks away. And if indeed Apple will be announcing the next iPad on the said date, we could expect the iPad 3 to hit the shelves before the end of March.

One last thing – another report, this time by the Wall Street Journal has just surfaced saying that Apple is testing a new tablet computer with smaller screen. How small? Possibly 8-inches as what was shown to Apple by the reliable source.
