Here we go again with some fresh rumors about the next models of iPad which Apple is planning to release this year. This time, it’s coming from Chinese news source, Digitimes. Quoting reliable sources from Taiwan manufacturers, Digitimes reports that the iPad 3 will be coming out in March. Said iPad will feature a QXGA display (with 1536×2048 resolution) and a longer battery life than the iPad 2. Specs-wise, there will be not that much difference between the iPad 2 and iPad 3.
The report also mentioned that once the iPad 3 is launched, Apple will then slash the price of the iPad 2 to around $399. This move will be made to allow Apple to shake off the threats being imposed by other tablets available in the market today.

Additionally, the report also mentioned something even more exciting. And that is the fact that aside from the iPad 3, Apple will also be launching the iPad 4 and that this will happen in October 2012.
The iPad 4 release date is said to coincide with the release of new Android, Wintel and Windows on Arm-based tablets scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of this year. The iPad 4 will have upgraded specs and integrated apps according to the report.
The rumored release date for the iPad 3 seems more feasible and realistic than the rumored release date of the iPad 4. Historically, the iPad 1 and iPad 2 were released in the same period one year after another.
So, which iPad will you most likely get as an upgrade to your existing iPad?
